Lumenier ZIP V2 2812 1150/1300KV
A solid performer from Lumenier the Zip V2 offers good performance at a slightly lighter weight but with lower efficiency than the EMAX or XNOVA motors. Suitable for ~9inch props 1150KV on 6S is going to be the most common setup with 1300KV reserved for faster 8-9" drones.

EMAX Pro 2812 930/1100KV
Good performance at a relatively light weight make the EMAX Pro 2812 a firm recommendation. It's definitely a step up from the ECOII with stronger magnets but it still uses multi-core windings which limit it's ability to dissipate heat. Suited for ~9inch props, 1100KV for 6S and 930KV for 8S.

XNOVA 2812 900/1100KV/1300KV
The XNOVA 2812 is one of the highest performing 2812 motors I've tested and comes in a little heavier than most. Thick single core windings improve heat dissipation compared to the multi-core windings used in EMAX motors. Efficiency is excellent at over 80% for much of the throttle range. This is a premium product at a premium price. Suitable for ~9 inch props, 1100KV for 6S and 900KV for 8S. 1300KV could be useful for fast 8-9" drones on 6S.

EMAX ECOII 2812 930/1100KV
The EMAX ECOII is always a strong budget recommendation and it remains so in the 2812 size. It uses multi-core windings which limit it's ability to dissipate heat and the magnets are clearly a lower grade than those used in the more expensive EMAX PRO series. The difference in performance is a lot less than the difference in price, however! Suited for ~9inch props, 1100KV for 6S and 930KV for 8S.
